This new spec home, located in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Los Gatos, integrates the developers desire for a contemporary mountain home with astounding views of Monterey Bay. The design challenge was to maximize these views on a steeply sloping, heavily forested site with a limited buildable area. The residence cuts into the slope at the highest possible point enabling the location of all living spaces and decks on an upper level. These strategically placed decks filter light to the bedroom level below.
